    Scenarios
    1. A man comes into my business and slips on a puddle created by a leak in the roof. Since I did not place a wet floor sign by the puddle, the man tries to sue me for negligence. This would be civil law, as I have wronged an individual.
    2. One of my employees tries to steal money from the register. I catch him, fire him, and call the cops. He is arrested and brought to jail for theft. This would be criminal law, since theft is a wrong against society.

      1. When the man fell, he broke his leg, and racked up thousands in medical bills. The case would go to county court, since he is suing for more than $2,500.

  8. the first one i would say is civil matter because maybe Carlos didn't know all that would happen when redicut did whatever they did.
The second one would definatley be criminal activity. Because if she would of done that and didn't get caught and got away she would be a criminal.
The last one is procedural because it has to do with the government.

1 scenario : I took my car to the shop to get it detailed and customized for this car show. I asked the man to tint my windows, gold 24 inch rims, cream leather seats and a loud stereo. I asked for Lamborghini doors. The guy told me he will be finish the following week. The cost for the car to get customized and detailed will be $65,000 i said okay that's fine. I go back the following week like he tells me to. My windows were tinted but my seats was an off white not even cream. My doors were suicide doors that go up. Not even Lamborghini doors. He tells me he didn't have any more doors like that so he thought i wouldn't mind if he put suicide doors on their and if i really want the Lamborghini doors i have to pay extra so he can order them. In my case if he didnt have the doors in the first place why would you make me pay up front. Or if you didnt have cream seats why would you make them off white. My rims were gold but they weren't 24 inches. I told him to change my car and do what i asked of him and he told me it will cost me extra for the labor that hes doing to take everything off and find new pieces. I told him I'm taking him to court and sewing him for not doing what i asked of him and for not refunding my money!

  14. A.) This Law falls under civil law because it's his land and it's ruining the others land other than hers.

B.) This falls under criminal, procedural and substantive because the police need to read her her Miranda rights and criminal because she had gotten arrested for DUI and homicide. It's substantive because it's a set law.

C.) This may fall under substantive and civil because it's against one person
and also because the people installed the cable boxes to her apartment.

2 scenario's; 1.) The first scenario is that I run a business and someone from my business steals some clothes, later when I find out I have to fire them. This is an example of Criminal and civil Law.

Scenario 2.) I'm driving my 2008 Honda Civic, as I'm driving a car doesn't see me turning the corner and hits right into my car leaving me with bruises, being unconscious for a good 5 minutes & the side of my car dented in pretty badly. The car doesn't stop and drives away while people com rushing over about to call the police. This would fall under Criminal Law.

  15. 1) The first scenario falls under civil law because the company can be sued for property damage caused by erosion.
    2) The second scenario falls under criminal law and civil law because it is illegal to drink while driving and vehicular homicide affects one person or more.
    3) The third scenario falls under substantive and civil law because Loretta is claiming that a cable company is threatening to evict her from her property, which she considers a violation in her rights.

Harold was plowing his front yard to clear snow away. A tow truck then pulls up to tow away his 37-year-old car sitting out in the snowy street. The tow truck operator was inexperienced and accidentally hooks the axle of the front wheels and wrecks the entire front of the car. The vehicle was in need of an engine change.

    2. The first scenario falls under civil law and criminal law because it affects Harold who was supposed to park his car in the driveway and the inexperienced tow truck operator damages private property. The second scenario falls under criminal law because theft is illegal.
